Hey all, I have two Atlas HO BW40-8Ws that I cannot seem to program for the life of me. I am using a NCE PowerCab currently. I had programmed an address change on them before using Bachmann's system without trouble. Now, however, I cannot change to the short or long addressing at all. I program in OPS on the main (I don't have a programming track yet) following NCE's outline. Any hints or suggestions? I am sooo stumped. I even contacted ATLAS and they are stumped too. Thanks in advance.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you can not change the address of the Atlas dual mode decoders on the main. You have to do this on the program track. Stefan My Gallery
Stefan: You are basically correct! You can change the address on the main, but after you set the decoder to accept long addressing on the programming track. I kinda stumbled upon this by accident and it worked. Your response confirms this as well. Thanks so much for your response.
