I had been installing Digitrax in everything.

I bought my first DCC equipped loco.

I may replace it with a Digitrax if I don't like it.

What are your experiences with the Atlas (Lenz) decoders?

How do you find the manual
    for the Atlas (Lenz) decoder.

    CV's for ST,AC,DC,TS,MS?????

    Thanks,

    Loco1999:

The Lenz decoders for the Atlas diesels don't compare with The DN163A0..

The functions of the decoder will depend on what loco you bought. The early Atlas loco's use the Lenz 62XF decoder.

The newer loco's have the same functions as the Lenz 1014 decoder . There may be some differences, but the basic functions are the same as the #1014.

The starting voltage on these decoders is 1-31
    The acceleration is 1-31
    The deceleration is 1-31

I've replaced most of the Atlas(Lenz) decoders with the Digitrax DN 163A0.

The only loco's I haven't replaced are the H-15's/H-16's due to the accessory lighting on those loco's.

    Thanks Bob.

I got just the one atlas decoder.
I will try those cv's, I also found
the pdf on the atlas website.

    http://www.atlasrr.com/pdf/LE063XF%20Manual_Atlas.pdf

I have to admit it was nice to
just put it on the track and go.

I will end up putting a DN163A0 in
it so it's easier to MU with others.

    Thanks,

Yes that's the advantage of a pre-installed decoder. Program the address and off you go.

However, there are times when the motor tabs don't contact the decoder properly and you have to go through the same "ritual" as when you installed the DN 163 A0's.
