I have a two track setup, each loop is its own breaker. At one point, the inner line has a #4 switch, to a 12.5 crossing the outer line, to a dead end siding. When the Bachmann GP9 running on that outer line, hits the crossing, the fuse blew. The second time, the DCC system(Bachmann) reset itself. Trying to figure out - may be a bad crossing. I have a similar 12.5 where the outer loop crosses the inner loop, and that one doesnt do anything. I tried the meter on it, but cant find any shorts.
