Just received my Atlas 23-7. It looks great right out of the box to me, but I will need to fit the air conditioner, etc on the cab roof. Atleast I will not have to paint the corner handrails, and the walkway (unlike Kato)

Its too bad that Atlas is still molding the brake cylinders and other details (like the sand hoses) on the trucks. Although it looks good from the side, just looking 10 degrees higher makes them look like big blobs. They should have seperate thinner parts included if the modeler would want them. But thats my only beef with the model (and that its really light), Atlas has done another wonderful job.

I think I need one in Santa Fe after getting a good look at one. Nice picture Alan. :D I still don't know how I am going to find time to detail all of these new locos that are comming out 6 SD60s, 6 SD90s and 4, maybe 5, B23-7s? I still have some SD60s from the last run that aren't detailed yet. Atlas, Kato and lifelike need to make some locos I don't need, like Balwins and FMs, so I can have time to detail and not pile my workbench with disasembled locos waiting to be detailed.

Thanks for the tips Craig [IMG] Don't know which aircon unit I will use yet. I have sooooo many locomotives I need to detail :(

Cannot run this locomotive yet, as it is decoder fitted, and I have not yet parted with the cash to get my layout set up for DCC.

Why did I buy only one? Because Matt bought another two :D (One in SP and one in UP)
