Has there ever been an N scale model of an AS-616 in brass or plastic?

Not in plastic. Have not followed brass, but don't recall ever hearing of one.

A friend of mine scratchbuilt a shell for me years ago. Right now I cannot recall what I used for a chassis. This was about twenty years back. It did look very decent. But didn't run well. I no longer have it, as my area of interest has been refocused.

    :D

    Hi Porche! Welcome aboard [IMG]

Those units looked superb in the Trona red and silver scheme. If one appered in N scale, I am sure the AWRR could make use of one [IMG]

Hey Alan, didn't know you were the admin here, that's great! Yea, these would be fantastic wouldn't they? I go through my old UPHS Streamliner mags every once in a while and lament what we don't have in N scale... saw a GP9 and a GP9B that would be fantastic as a pair as well....

Anyway, saw you have on your future project list a heavy weight center depressed flat, looks great, will that come with loads as well? When are these due out?

    Ciao,

    P-

AFAIK the only Baldwin diesels in N scale (plastic) were/are the RF16 and the VO1000. Not being too well-heeled, I'm afraid to ask how much brass Baldwins go for, but it may be worth asking your local brass dealer, or an online shop that carries a lot of brass.

Yeah, I want to get that out as soon as possible. Just a question of fitting it into the schedule! Time is my enemy (or lack of enough of it) ;)
