Only light sanding need to get this small consist (Mikado and gons) up and around my Horseshoe Curve (Altoona Pa) Route.
Heavy loads (40 hoppers) require double headed Mikes, full sanding and max power.

Eddie, I've been to Horseshoe Curve a couple of times and rode around it once on the Broadway Limited. Man, that picture makes me want to be there right now.

I will be up on the Horseshoe curve on Mother's Day weekend!
I go home for two reasons......My Mother
    and>>>>>>>>>Horseshoe Curve action.
    Mother is first for sure.

I built the Altoona to Pittsburgh MSTS route so I could reproduce the good old days when you could stand right up close to the rails. They had four tracks when I was young..1940's and 50's . I only built three in the sim....forgot I guess? Today it is three.

I have several light and heavy PRR passenger cars in MSTS and could almost reproduce those wonderful passenger trains that rolled around the curve.
I have the LightMountain steam double headed in MSTS and make them work up the mountain. My memory of pounding steam around the curve will never be matched.

The PRR caboose I have for the MSTS allows me to see out the top front windows(5 key), over looking the consist.....great view around the curve. Lots of fun running it.

    ....Eddie
