None of the roads I model had them, but the NP (et al) guys should be awfully darned happy about the announcement. -Mark
YES! I'd bashed a couple of U25Cs out of U25Bs (thanks, Ron Bearden) but sold 'em since I wasn't quite happy enough. I'll be saving my pennies...and waiting for your no-holds-barred review, Mark.
I'm not familiar with the current Hornby/Rivarossi/Arnold line of products. Do they still they still make everything in Europe or have they farmed everything out to China like everyone else? -Mark
The good news is: MORE SELECTION!!!! They must have been watching the market for a while and seen nobodies like FVM grow into something nice. They want some pie too.
Probably a good thing. Otherwise the over/under on the US list price would've likely been, what, $400? ;-) -Mark
The N scale announcement doesn't cite any road names, but the HO announcement lists these (FWIW) - Initial roadnames will include Northern Pacific; Pennsylvania; Chicago, Burlington & Quincy; and Atlantic Coast Line in multiple road numbers. -Mark
Ya know, I might get one of the NP units to go with my GN, CB&Q and BN locos for my Inside Gateway trains. I really like NP's black and gold scheme.
no roads listed, but here is the press release... http://hornbyamerica.com/news/arnold-n-scale-u25c no mention of DCC
Me too. Given the paucity of bones thrown their way, the NP guys tend to pounce on them like ravenous dogs when afforded the chance -Mark P.S. Hey, no aspoisions. I used to be one myself
