I went down to the Engine House at Ft. Bliss today. They just took delivery of the first two MRE 3SGS21B units in the Army inventory. Got to crawl all over them. Here are some shots of the new units and some older power.
There is a US Army Railroad Museum somewhere is the US. Their website has a lot of good Army/Transportation Corps photos. Glad to see the Army is moving something by rail. Kelly AFB closed; I think they had a 44 tonner, but no more.
They actully move a ton of equipment by rail at Bliss. The Canadian Army recently arrived and will be leaving soon. I plan on going down to the rail head to take some shots. The Army is looking at funding a 76 mile spur that will allow units to move their equipment to the ranges in New Mexico completely by rail.
