    Hello all,
Thanks too all the informative topics and whitty banter over the last while. I have given up on the armchair and have started preping the layout room. I have been in the dreaming/planning stage for what seems like years now and have finally come up with enough reasons to get the ball rolling. I have my list of givens and druthers(can you tell I`ve been reading too much). The plan, while not perfect, will endevour to keep my busy for a time.
The room is about 10 feet square, with a 5 foot square added to one corner. After reading posts here as well as all the magazine stuff, I think the 5 foot square is going to house a helix to double the 10 by 10 room.
The theme will be a freelanced branch line connecting with the CP main somewhere between London Ont and Toronto Ont. Scale will HO.

Thanks again to all who have unknowingly helped

Welcome to TrainBoard and welcome to active modeling! Just jumped in myself last July (I'm in N-scale). Jamie

Welcome aboard! I am back to modeling after a hiatus but can tell you that freelancing is a great way to get started. I love the flexibility in freelancing. I hope that you share your progress with us - it may just help someone else to get started.

    Happy railroading!

Thanks for the great welcome guys,
I will try to keep everyone up to date on the progress of the Putnam Valley Railroad. See, named it already. May even come up with a colour for a engine or two.
