    Hi.

I was going to Lexington, KY a couple weeks ago and a quick look in the yellow pages online before leaving did not bring up any hobby shops other then Hobby Town that carries MR stuff. Are there any MR shops in Lexington, KY?

Maybe Mark AKA CatFan will have the answer.

I don't grace the doorstep at Hobby Town much. All the stuff in the case is full retail and it seems the employees want to sell you a RC car or airplane. I tried to give them some money a while back buying some decoders but they gave me that "deer in the headlights" look.

There are two better options here in town.

One is a really nice guy that runs a shop from his house. He is the host of our weekly meetings. His website is listed under Bluegrass Model Railroad Supply. He knows DCC as well as anyone I have spoken to. I bought my Zephyr from him and he will be my first call when I'm ready to step up.

Second option is a store that has a huge selection of larger scale stuff. They have rooms for kids parties so Thomas is the star of the show. They have a short isle for n-scale and I talk to the owner if I see something I like.

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I have stopped in one or two in my life, not impressed.

Don't remember that one in the Yellow Pages, but will look up the website.

Saw that one and because of the Thomas and parties I wrote it off.
