I am wondering if they have been released yet. I have not heard that they are out yet. Anybody know? I am getting that itch to build a new layout but need the new turnouts to go with that track. Thanks!

Yeah, I want some to play with too. I remember them as being slated for summer release, but summer is almost over... September 21st, so they have 3 weeks o get them out! :D

Exactly! Summer is over in a few weeks! I've been experimenting with the track and like it a lot. I haven't been this excited about a product in a long time!

    Second Run of turnouts!

You GuyZ have to wait in line for the second release of MTL's new turnouts cause I have placed the entire first release (mid-Sept), pre-paid, on reserve!

Sorry GuyZ, looks like you all have to wait till October! :teeth:

Man, I can only imagine the demand for this release! I am guessing this release will push Z even further into the mainstream modeling communtiy. I think Tim's post sums it up well, everyone is worried that they won't get thiers. I just hope I get mine! :)

Shortage of MTL Z scale Turnouts!

I hear that because of delay after delay, their will be a slight shortage of the new Turnouts! Actually, I won't kid around. I heard the shortage was going to be huge! That is not a good thing!

My source, the little devil on my shoulder told me so!

    Hah! SKEERED yet?

I am!!!! I looked in the mirror this morning when I got up! Eek!

    --------------------------------------------------------------

On a more serious note, I find it hard to wait a little while longer for these turnouts. Seems like it's been years already! Ugh!

Today I am gathering a list of items I will need to start building the intermodal yard! I would very much like to model the BNSF Alliance yard near Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas. We'll see!

OK, have to run! Got alot of casting to do, and tweeking of a program! Time flies when your having fun!

So when these are released next month, what are you getting? I am new so I need you ideas. I mail order because of no local supplyer and have to get it right. What I have so far is the Starter Oval and the 12pc 110mm Straight track. If I get one of each, left and right turnout, what else should I order in the way of curved and straight pieces to make them work. MT should come out with some kind of built-up track examples to give us new people some ideas and label them as to what pieces are needed to complete the layout. Your help will be appreciated.
Oh also I am going to get one uncoupler track.:teeth:

Long short of it, I am not sure. My advice would be to buy an extra packet of track and also an extra curve track pack and mix and match to see what you can get. As of now we can't build a perfect looking double mainline yet, until the larger curve radius track is released. My advice is to buy and play with it.

    Joe Says...............

Joe D'Amato said, in a Yahoo "Z_Scale" posting, that the MTL turnouts are to be expected for release in mid-October!

    Getting closer! Yipee!!!

I better clean out a section of my garage for that big 4' x 8' pink foam board I am about to buy! 1/2" or 2" thick? Hmmmmm!

    Look forward to those Turnouts!

Get the 2" stuff Tim, far less gluing to do so you can get down to some serious carving! ;)

Yeah get the thickest foam you can find. Get a jig-saw blade for cutting leather, looks like a dull knife blade. No mess.

Loren had a pre-shipment sample completely packaged in his hands yesterday 9/23/2006. The first cases of stock are on a "slow boat" or fast "FedEx" and it looks as if they will be available shortly.
