Impressive job nscalestation! It is kind of sad no one else entered, but I can understand it. I've myriad things pulling me away from tiny trains right now too. Agree with the notion perhaps making the contest every other month or something along those lines.

That is true art! How impressive. All You need now is Graffiti! They look so real, it's hard to believe that they're scale cars! Beautiful!

    Thank you guys.

For me I think working from an actual prototype photo is very helpful in getting the right look. As I'm not so big on graffiti I choose photos of prototypes that did not have much. The prototype photos are shown in the original April weathering post and also on my blog in this post.

I also threw together a new diorama to photograph these entries on. It's just a track long enough for 4 cars on a built up fill which allows for a very low viewing angle. In another post on my blog the whole diorama is shown.

I was kidding about the graffiti. Those guys ruin something that represents America at work. Your art displays the true grit that makes up our railways. Run those cars, grease 'em. Brakes when they need 'em, and they're good for another half a million miles. I wish that I could do what You can. Nothing short of amazing. I wish that I could afford to put one on the n scale train that I'm putting together for my neighbor kid, my adopted Grandson. I'll start saving up!
This is one nice young boy I who I think will really love this hobby.
