Now John, take it easy and keep breathing normally, as we don't want you to pass out. I know that CSX caboose caused your heart to skip a beat, so just sit down and take some deep breaths and then go call your credit card company and ask for a limit raise. I admit my heart fluttered a bit too when I saw my favorite GWS livery appear this time out. I'll have some weathered ones rolling at the Z convention for sure. So here is a cheer for both CSX and GWS. Good stuff this month.
Everything looks great and order's are placed! What am I noticing different on these new well cars...I see more yellow...the end platforms/walkways?
You have a very sharp eye, sir. We found the prototypes have some painted, others with bare metal. Last time was bare metal, so we went with paint for this run. Cheers, -Rob(A) AZL
I'll place a vote for Union Pacific. . .and I'm itching to order one of those 53' thralls! Who's taking orders? Best, bob
At this time, AZL is done releasing bi-levels. We still have ATSF bi-levels in stock. Moving forward, they are all tri-levels. A new UP version is in the lineup as is BN, BNSF and Ferromex. I posted this image earlier today on another forum just to make the N scalers jealous. Check out the ends of the containers on the single car! Rob
OK...a couple more questions regarding the auto racks. Are the tri-levels more detailed than the bi-levels? Are the tri-levels dimensionally taller than the bi-levels? Thanks for the help.
Dave, dimensionally they are the same. Here is a photo showing the ends of the autoracks. The bilevel is on the left, and tri-level on the right. This should give you a good idea where the interior platforms would be located on the prototype. Rob
Packages arrived this morning...another great release of well cars, nice job AZL! Thought I would share some comparison pictures of their other releases (end platforms) and container details as well...
