For those in other parts of the country that do not folow NY news, there is an APB out on one Ralph Bucky Phillips. He is accused of shooting at several NY State troopers, mortally wounding one of them. This all transpired after Phillips managed to escape from state prison. I am posting this here because there is a possibility that he may have hopped a CSX freight in the Buffalo, NY area to whereabouts unknown. As always, be on the lookout for suspicious activity. Russ
Heard about this loser on the news. Hope he didn't hop any train. And thus can't endanger their crews. Boxcab E50
If he hopped a train he'd be better served to lay as low as possible and never be seen by any crew. There are plenty of places on a freight train to hide that he'd never be spotted by any crew. I suppose the typical criminal element wouldn't be bright enough to realize that, however, or he wouldn't have gone to jail to begin with!
I'm in the middle of Bucky country here, he was even spotted across the street where I'm working. The CSX train stop was apparently a false alarm. There's an unbelievable amount of police presence here. It's changed from being a comic opera to a complete tragedy when the last two troopers were shot. And another local individual, a farmer, mysteriously dissapeared last week in the search area - raising fears that it may have well expanded beyond just Troopers in the sights. There's about a 200-mile radius that everything strange happening makes you wonder. If you want to see photos, etc. www.amw.com is tracking this guy and has good photos, he'll probably be on Saturday night again. $225,000 reward at the moment.
Thanks for the additional info randgust. He was actually being turned into a modern day folk hero, with his evasion of the law and all, until he started shooting at troopers. Now he is a danger to everyone. Remember all, dangerous men take dangerous measures! Russ
The latest from a news source: Ralph "Bucky" Phillips, alleged killer of NYSP Trp. Jos. A. Longobardo, remains at large and police believe he remains in the western NY state region of Chautauqua County, according to the Buffalo News and local Dunkirk NY newspaper. Meanwhile, last night, Todd A. Nelson (31 y.o.) Ludlow, PA was arrested by Penna. State Police in connection with assisting Phillips. PASP recovered 33 weapons from Nelson's house and these weapons may have been among the 41 weapons stolen recently froma gun shop. Troopers believe the gun store burgulary was committed by Phillips. Meanwhile, Trooper Baker's condition was listed as serious (Buffalo News) and he is in hospital in Erie, PA. Arrangments for the wake and funeral for Trp. Joseph A.
