Folks - (n scale, I always forget about HO) Here's what I'm thinking. I have a newer vintage Doodlebug. I've cut out the Cap, between the motor leads, I've jumpered the inductors. My idea is to cut the board, jumper the interior light, and put in a LokPilot. For the sound (is pretty quiet, without a shell) I'm hoping a layer of foam above the board and inside the rear door will dampen it a bit. Experiences welcome!
