Got my new issue of Model Railroader in the mail the other day, and I turned to the article on Allen McLelland's new Virginian & Ohio layout. He had to move, and abandoned the old V&O he built, and is building a new layout based on the V&O from Jimtown Yard west called the Gauley Subdivision. I've been a fan of the V&O since the early 1970s, and even though I miss the old layout, I can't wait to see pics of the new one. Any comments on the V&O, or anything else in the '04 MR?
I liked the new plan. I have been a big fan for a long time. The plan looks simple, and you think that you could have done more in such a large space. But when you look at the specs, #8 turnouts and 36" min rad with most being 40", 42" min aisle width. that is going to take up space. I hope that he gets it running soon with some scenery.
Yup, I read that article. Nice layout I also like MR's new look for the new year. It was due for a little formatting change Matt
Have not yet picked up my copy. There has already been a lot of discussion about the new layout on the V&OHS Group. Boxcab E50
