    Hi,

Anyone know who (model maker) made this 40 ft car?

I can not find any markings on it other then "Made in Yugoslavia."

I'm thinking Model Power for some reason.

Mehano. It was sold by various importers over time. I have lots of UP cars. They are pretty crude by today's standards. I'd give mine away, except they are in Albuquerque and I'm in Ohio right now.

Yes it is crude but since I'm the only one to see it run, no big deal.

If you get back to Albuquerque and still feel like giving them away I will gladly pay for shipping lol. I need some stuff that I can repaint and such and not feel too bad if I screw it up. I have just started trying to paint/weather stuff and I'm not too good yet...

Good point! :D Also, I don't remember another release of that paint scheme. You can use Gold Medal Models details and make an upgrade.

Generally these cars came with paint that was way too thick. Once you strip that, the basic car isn't that bad. I used Micro-trains roofwalks and brakewheels. There are better cars available now.

I admit the paint is thick and crude looking, but it is what it is.
