The grain train on the right has a dead battery in the 2nd unit, and the mechanical department with the UP could not get it re-started, on their own....so they needed the help of another nearby inbound train....which they simply hooked some very long jumper cables to the dead unit...and a few moments later....it restarted! The train on the far left at the Vegas Depot...is the American Orient Express...which was in town for a few hours.

Yes, I see the yard machinest jump locos alot. It always makes me jumpy! They hook the jumper cables up to the circuit breaker in the cab while you're setting in the seat with the panels behind you. I always go out the door when they jump them! I just get the feeling of sparks or fire messing with all that voltage if the cables were hooked up backwards or something... Maybe it's just me?
