Is anyone on this list going to L.O.T.S. in Portland, Oregon, this weekend. I will be there with my N scale club's traveling layout Friday evening, and we'll be running 5 PM until 9 PM. If anyone is planning on being there, please do let me know. Adam P.S. The club is P.A.N.T., or Portland Area N-Trak.
So what is L.O.T.S so I know whether I want to go or not? I was thinking of going out to Ilwaco on the Long Beach WA penisula for their Railroad Days and swap meet. David
L.O.T.S. is the Lionel Operating Train Society or some such thing. They are having a convention at the Doubletree near Lloyd Center. Here is the URL for their show is http://www.lots-trains.org/html/2007_train_show.html We are one of the visiting layouts. I don't know how much is O scale versus non-O scale, but I know that our NTrak club will be there, and a guy from our club who makes module benchwork will be selling his wares as well. I was considering going to Ilwaco except that I had this already on my calendar.
Gee, wish I was still in Salem- I woulda been there as well.......... Too bad my son, who is presently in Lincoln City, ain't a model railroader
One of the events going on for this is excursion trains on the Oregon Pacific, starting from Oaks Park. Not only the OP diesels, an eclectic bunch are running, but also the SP&S 4-8-4 700. For those of you there on Friday at 1300, yours truly will be part of the cab crew. Bring cameras and send me the pictures. Please, please, begging. :teeth:
Fitz (and anyone else), I will be amongst the operation layouts Friday evening with Portland Area N Trak. I will probably be wearing a khaki colored vest with a pocket watch. Come by and say "hi" if you get the chance. Sorry, Fitz. I won't be down near Oaks Park at 1300 or I would take some pictures. I will be rushing from work to go set up at the Doubletree. Adam
