Hemi you just made me go take an inventory. This is it. </font>[/QUOTE]Man Don - that's awesome! Anybody collect these? Here are two of the four in my collection - would like to get more! Rode these puppies when I was a kid living in Frankfurt in the 80's so a bit of nostalgia attatched to them: Best Regards, -Mike
SLSF Freak, thats one nice Train you have there !!! I believe there was an E4 Max being made not sure by who though either Kato or Tomix, but I cannot find a Tomix website that isn't written in Japanese??? All We have to do is wait for Grey One to post up some photo's of his Series 800 Swallow as I believe it is a rather sweet looking Train ..
Fluid That looks spectacular on your Newly assembled Bridge !!! I cannot make out what the Loco's are ?? but looks great anyway !!!
SLSF Freak I couldn't see the pics Fluid nice job on the bridge. This is the Tomix 300 series. The prototype runs in 16 car sets. Finding the add-on cars for this set is near impossible. Mag, I'll post pics of the 100 & 0 series and call it quits. Hopefully, the next time you see these trains they will be lined up in a staging (service) yard on a shinkansen layout. Hey Don, With all those fast trains, you should have the super-elevation of the Daytona Speedway on your new layout .
I hope to have some more Shots of the Series 500 and the ICE2 done soon... I am still waiting for my Unitrack to turn up...
Wish I could post my "Swallow". My digital died. have to get it fixed. I have a great pic lined up nose to nose with my 2 - 6 - 0.
I've got the following Passenger trains: An almost complete 26 car 1976 Freedom Train California Zephyr Great Northern Empire Builder 1974 era Coast Starlight ariving soon, with a soon to be finished E9 and SDP-40F painted for Amtrak
Good news is my Unitrack should be arriving in 4 days so stay tuned as I will have more Passenger Train shots soon..
Hemi, I'm not counting rivits but just wondering does AMTRAK only run them "nose to tail" or does it run them the cool looking way "back to back"?
Usually they run them elephant style but I have seen them back to back. I guess a lot of it depends on what run they are making. If they usually wye the entire train at either end of a trip they like them elephant. If they have to bring the power around hook up to the back of a train they are end to end.
