Such a scenic area.. Prolly none too accessible before I-15 came thru there. Plenty of tunnels (did I hear TUNNELS?!? ), cuts, bridges, curvature out the wazoo. Just my kind of line! It is presently out of service, washed out somewhere south of Cascade, MT.
I do also recall seeing pictures on the web, of the line at present. Taken the past few years. Not sure how you'd search for them. But a few railfans have explored there. Boxcab E50

Anyone know where the ROW on the GF-Helena portion is washed out? I am tempted to hike it, but that's a big hike. Even from Cascade to Craig. That's still like 20 miles. Would be good exercise!
