I posted this on the n forum, but someone suggested that I do here as well - Is anyone here a member of the La Mesa Model RR Club in San Diego? I'm planning a trip out there in Feb, and it would be cool to get a 'behind the scenes' tour. Thanks!
You know I live in the SoCal area and have visited the San Diego train museum many times. The last time I was just wandering around the big layout and asked a guy a question about a couple of the engines I saw. (I don't even remember the question) but within minutes he had begun to show me the WHOLE layout from front to back, top to bottom. It was really cool and the guy was pretty nice (not much sense of humor but really nice). So you might just show a little interest and I think it depends greatly on when you go. I went on a friday afternoon after visiting the zoo and it was deserted.
