Glad the Southern Pacific units weren't announced with the Rio Grande ones, otherwise I'd be a very expensive month.
I'm glad Kato's making these again. My Kato SP SD45's are some of the oldest locos on my roster.

What I would really like to see is a re-run of their classic GP38-2, the first locomotive they did in N scale. Ive really been having bad luck with Atlas GP38-2s.

    2012 Kato Announcements?

I was able to gather about 3 of them (Kato's) about 2 1/2 years ago from various sellers on Ebay. Had them serviced and new knuckle couplers installed on them and they still run great today.

As for "rumors", anyone have a guess as to what Kato has lined up for April & June? Their Katousa.com Announcement page has now disappeared. But they were showing N-Scale announcements scheduled for April and June.

How about a new Name Train? I am desperately waiting for Kato to release the NYC 20th Century Limited. I already have Kato's "lightning bolt" NYC Alco PA & PB set and have been anxious to have something to run them with.

    Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

FYI, the UP Desert Storm unit is an SD40-2, not an SD40

There is a steam engine coming, that came directly from Leon at Kato when he stopped by our shop. Of course he wouldn't say anything directly but I asked if the rumors were right and I got a smile. He said whatever it is, it would be officially in the next month or two.

Should be an FEF 4-8-4 and a UP Heritage fleet passenger train according to all the "insiders".
