I was looking through some rail pictures and came across this; it appears to be an early Doodlebug or something. Can anyone shed some light on this oddball train? (I know it isn't N-scale, but it would be fun to try and build one in N-scale). http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=62407&nseq=511
Check these out, it should explain a little about the car. ARR #216 "Tanana". http://alaskarails.org/pix/former-loco/JK-216.html http://alaskarails.org/pix/former-loco/JH-tanana-brill.html
I'd ask this on the prototype forum section, too. It looks like some sort of doodlebug. Very odd, indeed.
Yup, like said, some sort of doodlebug. I have done some reading on doodlebugs during research for one of my projects. I found out that there are more then we can count variations of doodlebugs, because many of them were built custom for many specific purposes and reasons from "marketing" to "utility". Some REALLY odd ones out there. For a couple years, I been working off and on building a "McKeen Motorcar". VERY odd looking doodlebug. Looks kinda like a observation car with round windows running backwards. I love all those "odd" looking creations.
Yeah, that is kinda cool. Has that "art deco"ish look to it.. Hmmm... Is there another project in the back of our minds?
