Any Hopeful news about DI? (hope this is an appropriate post content)

    First off I truly hope this isn't an offensive post nor seen as a negative post-But this is more concerning about DeLuxe Innovations and the ability to use the recent purchases (April 7th 2017) of 2 more well car sets.

    On the positive note: I have purchased a number of these sets in the past and everyone of them required the Fix It Kits for running properly all of which Dave Ferrari was fantastic at getting those kits out to me through last year but this year after losing their warehouse location and having to relocate they have just gone silent and from what I am told have suspended all operations (supply and just about all communication).

    I have sent numerous e-mails and left voice mail to what seems like a no response even where I purchased these sets from is having issues with contact.
    At one point I was told the fix It kits shipped to me on April 19th-Granted there could have been a Postal delivery failure but now there is absolutely no more contact.

    This is the last known message at their site from February but now we are in May and I fear things have gotten worse.
    February Update: After a long struggle, we lost our lease and have moved the warehouse to a smaller commercial facility. Effective immediately our mailing address is P. O. Box 141, Midland Park, NJ 07432. Operations are suspended as we complete this move and get things organized. Shipping of the first batch of Fix-Kits was interrupted during this time, we will continue getting them out as soon as we can.

    My question would be does anyone know anything more or have any better contact with Dave-I truly love these models and know there is a simple fix with those kits but if I can't get the kits I have no choice but to return the last purchases.
    Again I hope this was not seen as a bad post but more of concerning post about my product I have purchased and cannot use. In all fairness to a customer point of view.

    I used some washers I bought at the local hardware store. Not the big box stores, but a local Ace Hardware. The big stores didn't carry any that small. I believe they were size 3? I put them on the truck bolsters only and they run well. I didn't bother with the other ones, could never find any that small.
    I too fear the worst with DI. I believe their website hasn't been updated in over a year. I really like their products and I've met Dave a time or two and always found him to be a nice person. I really hope that one day they can overcome their problems and once again become one of the major manufacturers in N scale.

    Try calling Walthers to inquire if they have any current info to share on this situation.

    Dave used to post announcements here on TB. But that stopped quite some time back. :(

    Thought I would share recent email-Good News! Dave responded last night and said there was some mix up sending my kits out last month and he'll send them out this weekend...
    YAY! no more rust on the new intermodal sets!!

    I saw last week that he posted on another site some unrelated N scale information.
