I believe this train's symbol is the MSCLV? ..anyway...it was slowing down as it coasts into UP's Valley yard, where they have an auto unloading facility and a "Mi-jack" for containers.
Might have to catch some of the action in LV when I arrive there while heading for RailCamp at Ely. Any good railfanning spots close to the airport or on the road to Ely? BTW, that b/w makes that shot look even better. :teeth:
Hey Matthew, When you say near the airport, you mean McCarron? The mainline runs west of the airport. It is less then 10 mins from there. The BMI branch runs / parrellels the airport runway along the southern part of it for about a half of a mile, but there are only 1-2 trains a day there. If you give me more specifics, I might be able to guide you to a decent place to sit and watch. As far as Ely, I am not that familiar with that part of the state yet, sorry. Mike
