Feather River Train Shop is a great place to do business! Friendly communications, INSANELY fast shipping (Cali-to-Montana; ordered sat. arrived this afternoon!) First-class experience, thanks Chuck! Oh yeah, since they are predominately an N scale shop, I'll post it in N scale. Great prices, friendly service, quick shipping, also a TB supporter. What could be better? No affiliation, just another satisfied customer!
HemI; I'll agree with that statement. I've been doing business with Chuck for quite some time. Stay cool and run steam.....
I think Chuck uses the Pony Express!!! I too have received an order the day after I placed it, I'm in Ohio.
I too am a satisfied customer. I live in Canada, and it takes 10 days for me to get my stuff pretty consistently. I think customs keeps my stuff to play with it a few days, then sends it on.
I love hitting his shop when I am in the area. The bridge toll is worth it as you never know what you will find that is not on the web site. Brian
...it's New Zealand calling ! same here - great service from Chuck ! 6 - 10 days and the parcel is here...
I just about do all my train shopping thru Chuck. If you don't count Christmas putting pressure on customs and AusPost, just about every thing I've had sent arrives in 5 days. Btw, for us Aussies out there, customs have advised me that anything model train related and valued under $1000.00aus coming out of the US is exempt from all taxes and import duties.
I have to join the praises of Chuck´s shop. He help my wife get me a couple of units for Christmas. Needless to say, I was and am a happy camper.
I was just looking at his website. Am I seeing this correctly? Is he adding DCC AND sound in these N-scale locomotives? I'm buying the MRC Prodigy Express and a couple locos from him asap if this is the case...
Chuck doesn't add DCC or sound to any loco's. Where do you get that impression? Certain N scale loco's are coming out with sound and DCC factory installed. Stay cool and run steam.....
I guess you're right. It's the PCM locos that have DCC and sound. But I thought they weren't available until Fall '06 Still, I'll be looking for the Prodigy Express as soon as possible now!
The PCM E-7 is supposed to be available in the second quarter of 2006. It originallwas supposed to have been available in the fall of 2005. The PRR 4-8-2 was to be available now in February 2006. Now it's anybody's guess. I don't put too much credence in a date for release of a product. Stay cool and run steam.....
Does PRR stand for Pennsylvania RailRoad or something else? Because Feather River advertises a PRR (unlettered). I am assuming the 4-8-2 is a light mountain?
PCM is coming out with a Pennsylvania RR 4-8-2 with sound and a decoder. It will also come unlettered and in various combinations of sound, no sound and DCC. The body type is definitely a Pennsy steam loco. Stay cool and run steam....
