Started another rolling stock project using those cheap Bmann 34 foot oldtimers. This time a two car set representing a home shop built firecar for the logging line. The raw material for this project uses two of the Central Pacific water cars. This should not be too expensive as a project. I'd imagine those Bachmann cars are cheap, and plentiful? Always wondered if someone would find a good use for them! Boxcab E50
Buy em by the dozen at the Bmanns table at the Greenberg shows. Usually at $3 apiece, add MT trucks with couplers at about $3 per set when I find them on sale and I have about $6 tied up in the car. The rest of all the materials from my building supply stock adds up to maybe another $3.
