JD, I notice that you painted those three GP60's with Floquil and Model Master paints. Do you prefer those paints over Polly Scale? If so, why? Also, what pressure do you spray your paints? Those GP60's were OUTSTANDING!! You obviously have been airbrushing for a while.

Bob, the paints I used were just the colors I found to be the closest to what I wanted. If I would have found a Polly Scale I liked, I would have used it. :) I have alot of different brands of paints, and used them all for different things.
I used a double action air brush, with the compressor set at 30lbs max.
    Hope that helps!

Thank you JD, it does help me a lot. I see that different people get outstanding results using different paints and different pressures. It must be developing a technique that one feels comfortable using. There is no absolute one way of doing painting. I feel now that I am ready to give it a try myself as soon as I get some funds to purchase an airbrush and some accessories to go with it. I am definitely going to give it a try. The work that you, BNSF7173, a Steve4Painting do has inspired me. I my not succeed but it will not stop me from trying.

I'm sure in no time Bob, you will be surprised how comfortable you'll be using an airbrush. :)

I hope so JD. You will certainly be the first to know. The weather is getting colder and snow is predicted at the end of the week. I will not attempt to spray anything until the conditions are right. It will probably be in the springtime before I attempt this. I may continue to "pick your brain" as well as others on this forum. I try to gather as much information about something before I attempt it. I let in settle in my mind and then do additional searches. Then and only then when I feel comfortable, I will give it a shot. And I am starting to feel more comfortable about this adventure because you and several others on this forum have been so helpful in answering all my questions, no matter how stupid there may seem. I really enjoy this forum very much!
