    Hi,

I need your help again with another mystery manufacturer.

I purchased the car seen below on the Bay (not sure why). It came without a jewel box or any information. There is nothing anywhere on or inside the car that indicates what company made the model. It has Rapido couplers and the wheels are brown. Wheels may not be original. The model has some weight to it, most of it being in the body.

    Thanks,

    Gary

I had that in a collection, and I sold it a year or two ago. I am thinking off hand Con Cor, but I think I also had some deluxe inovations hoppers similar to that too.. Let me see if I can find an old picture to confirm..

Yup.. it was Walthers.. Here was mine.. BTW the one in your picture seems to be missing the details on the shoots in the bottom of the hopper.. you can see them in my picture..

Heres a couple more of my old rolling stock of that particular car but with a Hostess paint theme.

the bottom one is not Walthers, I think that was one of the Deluxe Inovations I was talking about.. Not the same car obviously.

I think the Sioux hopper is Precision Master (tooling now owned by Red Caboose)

It is indeed a Walthers Car. Still have one in the original box. the box says "PD Covered Hopper Grace #550423 932-8153" purchased for $9.98 at All aboard trains in San Diego years ago while I was in the Navy.

Thanks for the info everyone. Your guys and gals are great.

The part number was one of the bits of info I was looking for. I paid a bit more the $9.98, but not much more, for this one.[IMG]
