Looks good to me except that your turnouts will take up much more room than your plan displays and curves will need to be much broader.

I like the operations afforded by this design, but I would caution about the "around the edge" track plan. I too am working on a HCD layout. I would like to see some examples of up & over styles. I'll try to sketch out my ideas and get them posted.

Here's what the plan looks like to scale. I made a few changes just for visual appeal.
Outside radius is 15, inside 13. All #4 turnouts.

A problem that I see is that if you are going counter clockwise, you can go from the inside loop to the outside loop, but you can't go back.

If you are going clockwise, you can go from the outer loop to the inner loop, but you can't go back.

An additional crossover could fix that.

Replacing the bottom right with a double crossover would probably be how I would do it.

Or reverse the direction of the lower right side crossover.

Yes it does. I used Xtrkcad and their provided Unitrack library.

Give me a few minutes and I'll see if I can export a quick parts list for you.

My only thoughts about the current yard / crossover arrangement:

    • A train can leave the yard and gain immediate access to the outside loop. This is likely a "nice to have".
    • If you move the yard lead to the right of the crossover then it or a yard lead can be longer. Since the yard is proportionately about right for the layout size that could be moot.
    • A 2nd cross over could be added to the left so trains can move from between loops despite direction of travel.
    • #6 Turnouts could be used for the crossovers if you preferred.
