*Ahem* Allow me to introduce myself. I am MarkAmerican440, but you can call me Mark. I have been a railroad nut since I was born (Thomas the Tank Engine). Over the years I have expanded this hobby to model trains. I currently have the Life Like Little Joe, one huge Tyco train set I received as a gift from a model train enthusiast and family friend, a Lionel train set on a train table my grandfather and I built together, and all sorts of HO trains, tracks, and accessories my brother and I both own. I have attempted to make a Garden railroad with a remote-controlled train on plastic tracks, but it didn't work out as planned. I never receive gifts without a good reason, meaning my father bought me these because I have worked hard for a very long time, achieving Honor Roll and staying in Accelerated classes. In simple, I have to work hard at school and home to get these wonderful trains. By the way, Happy 4th of July everybody!
I certainly do. I started my first paying job at age seven, working for a local garage. It was that, plus chores on the farm, selling veggies and eggs, yard work for neighbors, etc, etc, which raised cash to expand my Lionel and other trains, back fifty years and more ago.
Welcome Mark ! a lot of us have worked very hard to get where we are and I commend you for your efforts to take responsibility for your life .. not to mention some good grades !! High Greens indeed !!!
Thanks guys! It's great to be part of this nice and creative community! Hopefully, the intelligent creations on this board wil inspire me to make creative things on my layouts at home!
