And I find just the opposite to be true. Eckbay is such a hassle...to many fees and to many people you dont know. Here on TB and their swap meet forum...You know the people you are dealing with. Less likely to get 'screwed' as it where. I sell something...send me a money order...I ship the item...no fees except postage. Really simple in my books. JMHO.

E-pay, good for the seller bad for the buyer. Unless you just can't live without it.

I break my own rules and buy from e-pay on an occasion. No problem if you know what you are buying and the true value. That pretty much excludes the majority of things sold there. I watch the hobby shops listed and the "Buy Now" column. It works fairly well for me.

Did I just say all that? I'm not known for being a supporter of E-pay. Oh heck I got a credit line from Pay Later and that makes it easier to use Pay Pal and purchase those things I just can't live without. Dang, again....didn't I already say something like that?

Old Chinese Proverb: Let the buyer beware and shame on the seller. Time to duck for cover.

I do understand the frustration of those who have ranted on this thread, but my approach to eBay selling is simple: customer service. This means cheerfully issuing refunds for a returned purchase if a customer isn't happy, for any reason, period, including outright stupidity. If it's my fault, considered from my customers' point of view, I pay return shipping. I'm out a few dollars here and there, to be sure, but there's a peace of mind payoff.

That's the way I do it now when I sell , because I usually don't have a problem with people I spend money with but I wait until I get my feedback
