quote:
Another one bites the dust. To the rest of the list it is worthy to note that this engine also carried the word "Competition" on the battery boxes much as the 7312 carries the B.C. O'Brien name. This was done in reference to the perceived need for competition to the great beast Conrail in the Northeast. Now that the beast has been divided, I assume there is no need to be competitive.

    Stourbridge,

At Least 7312 will come home, retaining its full stripe paint, and designated as a heritage unit. I am happy that the bigwigs in Calgary saw that this unit was important. Look on the bright side, it could have come back with the beaver, although it may, for those in the east, when 7312 is released, please let me know either personally through email, or here on the D&H list, if 7312 has a beaver logo on it anywhere. Rumors abounded when CP's 1400 (FP9A) was released and sent to Steamtown for 2816's trip west, supposedly it had a new logo on it at the rear, which was false. I would like to know if it does somewhere.
