In Denver I spent alot of time with Craig of BLMA. Great guy! At his booth I bought several of his detailing parts, and today I just finally got time to do some detailing. I needed MU hoses to finish off my GP35's, and bought some of BLMA's. These are excellent! Not only are they excellent looking.....check out the correctly turned Main Reservoir hose closest to the coupler....but they are easy to apply. One hole and put the casting in place! Simple, and beautiful! Another BLMA winner!
One more look....then I gotta go! Have to get some more units ready for MUing. Now, where's that black paint?
Bummer....black paint is dried up! Well, I guess tomorrow I'll have to get some. 4 GP35's got MU's added. Two had some in the front already, and if I had not drilled three holes...one for each hose, they would be coming out and getting replaced. I guess even in the real world hoses look different.
Great looking model JD! Craig makes great stuff. I have some of the very first items he put out. They were right on then and he has only gotten better with time. Craig's BLMA parts are simply the best. No other way to say it.
Thanks guys! And of course, thanks Jerry! Denver was a blast and I'm glad you're enjoying the parts. The air hoses will really come to life once painted black with silver highlights! More stuff is in the works!
Craig, Agree you have some great products. Now get busy on Dyna Flow vents so I can finish my GP39-2 project Also, have you ever thought about getting into the beacon business. Sunrise has the market cornered on quality beacons but seem to be out lately.
Are the hoses flexible enough to pass through a plough? I think I will have to purchase some for my future projects.
Sweet! I have to get some of those. Where does this madness end? Are we headed towards proto 160? Hey, you're suposed to be laying down rail on the Stockton Sub, not hanging out in Denver and detailing engines! I do regret not making it to Denver this year for the convention. The last one that I made was the one in San Jose. I even had a fellow rail in Denver who was willing to put me and another rail up for a week, but with my first child on the way I nixed it due to money concerns. Brian
I agree you make some fabulous products.Any thoughts on producing a two-piece knuckle coupler (along the lines of the old Katos)?.They were affordable, worked well and looked good, and the best part was they dropped right into rapido coupler pockets.I think we also could use some engineer and conductor figures that would fit without serious amputation, flat on the appropriate sides.Keep up the good work!!
Wow, those are sweet! And yeah, Jerry, let's get the track gang going on the Stockton sub. My 199 trains are piling up in Modesto w/ no place to go
