Please read the attached PDF announcing the completion of the TankTainer RTR models, and comment. Also, see the Sidelifter PDF image(s) attached, and indicate whether this is an RTR model you would purchase (works for all containers (20ft./40ft.), This first production run of the TankTainers is a limited edition 100 units with buyer-controlled variations on color and logo to make them unique collector's items as well as "runner's" loads. Additional logos and colors are available as special orders. Jim
Just tried to place an order through your web-site. There is a problem with the shipping calculations. If I order one of each set... the shipping triples. It will NOT cost $25.50 to ship three sets of these... not even with insurance. Please confirm you will refund any unused shipping fees. Another on-line, Z-scale seller does this automatically.
Searail tanktainers look very nice. Will there be undecorated models or kits. Trying to stretch Z bucks. Uncle Sam took an unforeseen hit this year. That tanktainer transporter is a new one on me-- We had a side loader aboard ship, and used flatbed bogies and 20' trailers ashore--US MARINE containers. Fred
Regret the PayPal mix-up. Of course we will immediately post a refund. We will ask PayPal to post only one shipping cost per complete shipment, OR we will bill shipping separately. Jim
Those are very nice PDF files Jim! I can hardly wait to see the product. I'm sure it will be up to your usual level of high quality. It's a great design and a welcome addition to Z! Best, -Rob
Fred, The undec's will be available tonight on the website, but will only be delivered after the first 100 decorated uints are sold. Have to recoup the development costs, and the etching too.
Thanks, very much for your kind remarks, Rob! We have changed the single unit undecorated marketing plan, and they are now available in "naked" sets of four on our website. The buyer gets an additional discount in price, and four (4) count 'em, four units for only a few more dollars above the painted price of two. By the way, KAT says painting and decal application for items this small is going to be very interesting! Looking forward to seeing some of these finished by the modelers in yards and COFC's. Jim
