Oh yeah, with Train Day and all of the other steam operations going on all over the USA, today the news surfaced that the Friends of the 261 have purchased said locomotive, from the Green Bay museum. Work has started immediately to get her rebuilt and certified to run again. This has been a great day for steam. :tb-biggrin:
The letter that I received in the mail today states that they spent almost their entire "rebuilding" budget to buy the locomotive. Now they're soliciting funds to replenish that budget. My contribution's going out tomorrow!
