In the beginning there was man....and then man invented....TREBLE O !!!

If you think you young punks have quality issues at times you should have had some of the stuff we had to deal with almost fifty years ago. Treble O by Lonestar was the grand daddy of N scale. With crude rubber band drives and shells they were toy like. But it was the beginning of N scale just the same. Here is a little video of what you guess missed!

And here are the guts of treble O

Oh yes. I think we all had at least a few pieces at one time or another. Kinda wish I still had it. Would make a quite nice little display and reminder!

My brother's got a few pieces that he takes to shows occasionally.
At least it looks easy enough to install a decoder.:tb-biggrin:

    Ouch! That's terrible looking!
I'm glad the old timers stuck with it, otherwise N would have died out and I'd be stamp collecting or something...

The irony. I was just reading up on these over at Spookshow this afternoon.

And folks think the Rapido coupler is bad. Wonder what sort of bidding war would go on over at the auction site if there was one on there that actually ran.

You know... that ran a LOT better than I thought it would. I was figuring that thing was going to take off like a catapult.

Lone Star was a British company and the coupler is a smaller version of the 'tension lock' coupler that was and still is standard on British OO (HO).
