Hey guys, it's kinda quiet in here.. Got an update for you. I've added a few more details on my big, ugly HOn30 diesel I've been playing with... For those interested, it's riding on an Atlas RSD 4/5 chassis. I've left space under the radiator fan for a speaker. The brass screen in the front is from a Gold Metal Models detail set for N scale Geep units, set number 160-40. I found it while looking for something else and found it has some cool details, like louvers and whatnot. I've got doors and handrails left to add, along with some small parts like grabs. Might add some eyebolts as well. Now for some input. Take a look at the loco again and then hit up http://www.soundtraxx.com/dsd/tsunami/tsunamisound.php and tell me what you think would sound good in this monster. I kinda like the Baldwin sound files. Maybe the GE as well. I didn't make it big enough for a F-M!! :tb-biggrin: Also, sitting in the background are three kitbashed gondolas from N scale cars. Those should fill out my gon fleet nicely.
Gee, I wouldn't be surprised if US Gypsum doesn't hit you up with an order...it looks bulky/powerful enough for them! Will she be receiving some doors along the sides? Michael
I don't think I have that to worry about.. :tb-biggrin: Yes, doors to come on the sides and well as the cab. Hatches and panels in other places as well. Lots of details to add.
Well, it's the Caribbean, so the crew will like having it. The older locos don't have them. Besides, it was either that or the kitchen sink.. :tb-biggrin:
