Since there doesn't seem to be anywhere for new members to introduce themselves I thought I would do it here.

Very briefly, I'm a Brit expat living in St. Louis, MO. I have recently returned to model railroading after a break of 25+ years. I'm currently collecting rolling stock, motive power and all the other basics necessary to run a model railroad.

I am modeling ATSF early 1970s, Kings Cross to Hogwarts and Liverpool Street at least to Cambridge. Somewhere in there will be the Nene Valley Railway and the York Railway Museum in the mid to late 1980s.

As my signature line on another forum says, I'm building the first trans-Atlantic railroad tunnel.

Basically, I will have two separate layouts but the two will be connected for trans-Atlantic visits!

British rolling stock isn't too hard to come by here, fortunately - eBay is a wonderful thing!

Alan - your Spalding pictures make me homesick - I lived in Wisbech for many years and close to Spalding for a while!

    Cheers

Welcome aboard Mike. You're living in a great place. Make sure and take in as many Cardinals games as you can! You might try modeling the Frisco since you're living in the city where they were headquarted!

Mike, welcome to Trainboard! Wisbech, eh? Yup, just down the road [IMG] Once home to those unique tram engines that look like brake vans!

Your model railroading plans sound, well, different :D
