My brother and I went to the show on Saturday afternoon. We arrived around 2:30 and stayed until 5:00. We enjoyed talking to several vendors and looking at the layouts. My brother found a set of Intermountain FT's for $100.00 not a bad deal. We didn't make it to any of the home layouts.

My brother just moved to Frisco, Tx and is looking to start building his layout again. Next trip I make up to his house from Houston, we're going to try to hit the shops.... Any suggestion besides Discount Trains?

I would check out Silver Spike in Denton...fairly close to Frisco and similar prices to DMT. Selection not quite as good, but he'll order anything you want. (and you'll probably get it, unlike DMT) They were probably at the show.

Second place I would go is Hobby World in southwest Fort Worth. Quite a trek though...but good folks.

Other than that, nothing stands out, just a handful of "typical" shops.

    Doug,

Thanks for the info. We'll have to check them out next time.
