If anyones been watching the Amtrak schedules, or has seen the article on trains.com, you will know that this train is no longer running. Last Saturday night 9.22.01 was the last run from Chicago to Janesville. I have pics of it, but they are still in the camera. I talked to the engineer while he was stopped for about 20 seconds, and he wasnt sad it was over, but he said I should have been riding it! It sure is strange to see a train with an F40 leading, then a coach, then a GE Widecab (I think) pushing. Thats the shortest train I've ever seen! Its too bad, and I will try to get the pics on here as soon as I can.

Only the trailing Dash-8 was providing power, the leading F40 (or former...) was modified to only provide controls for the crews, the prime mover was removed (and replaced with a baggage compartment).

Yup, I even thing Amtrak crews call them "cabbages".
