Amtrak Fonts

Does anyone know what the Amtrak fonts are called? I'm looking for the Acela and normal fonts.Thanks!

Alexander, welcome to Trainboard. I can't help with the fonts, but may be able to help with the photo.
Do you have the photo scanned or otherwise digitized? If it is on the internet somewhere, like on your own website or in Railimages, our photo storage site, then it's real simple.
At the end of your message, just scroll down to the IMAGE box below the text window. Click on it and type in the complete web address for the photo, http://www. myphoto. jpg or whatever, and click on the OK box. Go to Preview Post and you should see the photo there, close that window and submit the message.
If it is not on the net somewhere, email me and send it to me, I'll post it for you. Then we can discuss how you upload to Railimages for future ones.

This is the Athearn Ready to Run F59PHI undecorated.I'm also working on a AMD 103 in a "what if " acela paint scheme.I like to do offbeat things,my next project is the NYC M499 RDC Rocket railcar.

I like the F59 hull design much more than the P40/42 hull design. If only GE had employed an industrial designer like Raymond Loewy.

 

I don't know if they have a real name for the new Logo other than Acela scheme. Your paint job looks very good. I wonder if we will see any EMD products come out in the new shamu paint. We hear that Mr Gunn can not stand the new Logo and colors. Most employees agree that it was another big folly and waste of money to do a new logo and paint. Look for an amtrak conductor near you to be wearing new colored uniforms soon. Seems like one of the last dumb moves of the previous management was to purchase a whole load of new uniforms in an ugly new color. The train men have been ordered to get the new uniforms but not to throw the old ones away because as soon as the new stock is gone they will go back to the present one. More Fleecing of amtrak money.

yes,Ken thats the Bowser unit,I also picked up a brass set when I was in New York,you can see a closeup of the brass loco in my album.Thats the Mehano Thalyes TVG of which I have two.They are wonderful sets.I also have seven Kato Bullit Trains in N scale.I Love High Speed Rail,I'm in the process of converting an Acela loco into the Turbine powered Jet Train!!! Will post when done,Happy Modelling!!!!!!
