Just a couple of pictures of Capital PenNScalers NTRAK setting up for the weekend at the Blair County Convention Center. The third picture is Cantinton NTRAK, one of our neighbors.
Great weekend event. Met old friends and made some new ones. Must have walked a couple of miles following my trains around the layout. Got sore feet but scored some good deals as well. The guys from the Altoona Area Model Railroad club were super helpful. The Blair County Convention Center was a great venue and the staff were very accommodating. Will we be back next year, Heck yeah!
Wow! What a weekend! The location and facility were fantastic! The weather was fantastic! The participants were fantastic! Mike Phillips and The Altoona Association of Model Railroaders (AAMR) were fantastic! Everything ran like clockwork! I think the N-Scale Weekend has reached its pinnacle, coming from the old days at Bedford (before my time, in a basement with no A/C) to now a commercial, professional Convention Center at Blair County, PA. The AAMR was amazing in making sure everything run smoothly. There were hourly(?) raffle prizes. If you registered, you're entered. Can't wait for 2023, which will be September 23, 24 as per the President of AAMR. The rest of my pictures can be found here: https://mikewongphotography.zenfolio.com/p82730022
great photos! Love the module with the dam, and the flatcar of coaches. Looks like a great time, thanks for sharing
There was an unfortunate incident at the show that not many knew about. Hopefully there were lessons learned for next year's show.
I can't believe you can see my smiling mug way in the back, very nice photography Mike. I didn't get a chance to ask you, what door price did you pick?
My camera sees all Rich! I know my photography. LOL! I picked a MTL weathered ex-CSX 100 Ton hopper with load.
The Great and Powerful Mike with his camera Also sounds like you picked a very nice piece of rolling stock. Micro-Trains has been doing a fantastic job with their weathered rolling stock releases. It still blows my mind the artwork on your Micro Mouse car you won, to be able to see the faces on a N scale car when you enlarge the image on your camera, mind blown. It was great weekend and great seeing you again at the show. I can't wait until next year.
