David Curlee at Altamont Press has announced that the final timetable that will be produced by the company, "Central West Timetable 1" is now available for purchase at their website. Many years of research went into the compilation of this volume, and it covers Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. It includes all of the tourist lines that we love to fan, Durango & Silverton, Cumbres & Toltec, Nevada Northern, and all the others, as well as all the short lines and lesser known railroads. Of course the BNSF and UP are covered. It is a great aid to railfanning, with radio frequencies, CP and milepost info, locomotive rosters, maps. I have worn out my older issues of their California and Northwest Region TTs. They are very useful. David is going to close down the business, so I would recommend buying the latest versions of his TTs for the area(s) that you fan. I have used these timetables quite a bit, too. It sounds like I need to go pick up the ones I was planning on getting or replacing soon.
