Los Angeles' Allied Model Trains have found some new owners, all familiar names in the local hobby shop scene. Fred Hill and Brian Brooks, the owners of longtime competitors The Original Whistle Stop in Pasadena, together with Allied manager Nick Barone, have bought the store. The two Southern California model railroad institutions will continue to be run separately. Here's a statement from some of the new owners relayed from the Southern California model railroads Yahoo Group: "The Original Whistle Stop is NOT buying Allied Trains - Fred Hill , Brian Brooks and Nick Barone are buying Allied Trains - Allied will remain in Culver City."
