Well I got the okay as long as I followed the instructions and did it outside. I used the entire bottle but it cleaned a lot of parts. But in a few hours it all evaporated !! I'm going to try painting later on. I hope this works.

You should definitely get the results you want from this. One thing hat I did was to put the lid back on the jar when parts were soaking insofar as possible. That way you won't lose your solvent quite so fast.

I hope you used good gloves, respirator and eye protection. In my career I have been exposed to many such chemicals. Please use caution.

Okay so I didn't make my own deadline. I did come close. I have a question that has nothing to do with this build.
Is, Jorden's highway miniatures, out of business?

1C53DD73-990C-417B-B0A2-DB9D7AFCFFDE.jpeg I’ve hoarded a few of their kits. See anything that you need?

For a modeler of your caliber they would be a walk through the park. They also lend themselves to fun kit bashing and modifications. I’ve seen some cool rat rods created using Jordan vehicles. That would be right up your alley. Literally.

I hope they come back on the market. No body makes stuff like that

Look at my collection and tell me which ones you want. Surely the ‘40 Ford and maybe an older car or truck for a rat rod project would help you out. Just let me know.

The Railway Express truck might still be around in the early 6o's, too.

After seeing those pics, I thought I think I have some. Yes! A Fordson Farm Tractor and a 1925 Ford Mail Truck in HO. Both still in the box.
Maybe I should spirit them away to a safe place. :cautious:

Thanks, Jim ! But I have so many projects going that I should hold off on another one. But it is the 1940 ford sedan that interested me. I'll let you know.

Here I am. Sorry. Been away for a while. I made a little progress on my lounge but I still need to paint the bar.
