All COIL'ed up

Couple more UK cars with sliding hoods - these are UK domestic registered ones unlike the previous ones I posted.

 

More modern way of coils on flats in the UK - the boxes are designed to hold the coils in place so no need to restrain them.



And a further domestic UK covered version - these are owned by EWS - nice OO scale model available from Bachmann!

Interesting... the mismatched covers on CR 622083. I don't usually see that sort of thing.

 

Here's one on the BNSF north of Cajon Summit on the uphill out of downtown Victorville, CA. This was taken from the Sherwin-Williams facility that sits alongside the tracks.
