More modern way of coils on flats in the UK - the boxes are designed to hold the coils in place so no need to restrain them. And a further domestic UK covered version - these are owned by EWS - nice OO scale model available from Bachmann!
Here's one on the BNSF north of Cajon Summit on the uphill out of downtown Victorville, CA. This was taken from the Sherwin-Williams facility that sits alongside the tracks.
