Shouldn't be that "alien" as we see alot of NS (& CSX) too on both UP & BNSF here in CA. Speaking of alien we also see alot of Canadian & Mexican locos out here also.
You may be right but... The NS line through Dayton, OH is ex Conrail and most movement over the line is in the wee hours. I'm judging by what little movement there is through the day where basic black rules. Conversely, the CSX main which parallels the NS from Cincy through Dayton is much busier at all hours and while we occasionally see "foreigners" there as well, it's still mostly a CSX show... so I get excited when I see anything else! Still, the railroad world changes as flags fall, roads are consolidated and power roams everywhere.
