A small project, finished today: Alexandra's Barber Shop. A DPM kit, painted and weathered. I made the floor in Excell. On the walls, I glued small pictures of American barber shops.
Very nice job I am now doing a Reid's Book store. It is an absolute pain to do the lintels, sills and frames for the windows/doors. The only way that I can figure out how to do it is by hand after airbrushing the brick.
I think it is easier to paint the brick last. I rattle can the details and hand brush the brick afterwards. Not my original idea; don't remember where I heard it?
Every time I see that model kit somewhere, I swear it has to have been based on this building on the corner of Main St and Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos, CA. http://www.city-data.com/cpicv/vfiles8615.jpg
An excellent job! Very good weathering, and the way you did the interior, plus the upper windows gives a great "occupied" look. Outstanding!
Thank you all for the compliments! This Barber Shop will become the first building on a new oNetrak module.
